I absolutely love F.R.I.E.N.D.S, I’ve even now managed to get Pippa, my 15yr old Daughter, to appreciate the absolute joys of it. I think the reason I love it so much, is because it’s so relatable, it reminds me, in so many ways, of my friends and I growing up.

From the age of twelve until my mid-twenties, I was part of the YFC (Young Farmers Club). I’m sure a lot of you will have heard the stories, and most of them are probably true 🤣. I’m sure I put my Mum through hell, but the thing she always knew, was that I was safe! The thing about YFC, is (or at least was back then), that everybody looks out for each other. The older ones take the younger ones under their wings, and not a lot gets past a determined young farmer.

We all grew up, and watched each other get married and one by one have families. Many of the group married each other, and are still together to this day. I’m a hopeless romantic, and love it when it all works out ❤️.

I still think about the people that looked out for me in those days, they were the people I modelled myself on, the people I wanted to grow up and be just like. Many of them I still keep up-to-date with through social media, but some I don’t, I guess that’s how life works really. I do wonder how everyone is, and where life ended up taking them though.

Some friends stick around longer though don’t they, like an Octopus stuck to your face 🤣. And three of those Octopi visited me today. I love these ladies like family, well they are my family really. Not many people in the world know me better than they do!
